The victimDagonJujutsu Kaisen · rank 11

An announced ruleset held three sorcerers on its own ground and was then walked into through an exit a fourth sorcerer had cut in it, by something with nothing to announce. This ranking concedes in so many words that results alone would swap the pair, and gives its reason for refusing: what came through that hole had not agreed to anything, and had not been asked back when it was alive either. A ladder built on prices will sometimes place the loser of a fight above the winner, and the useful thing it can do about that is name the criterion out loud rather than quietly re-sort itself to match the outcome.

Toji Fushiguro killed Dagon in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Done in a body that was neither his nor a corpse: a séance turned an old woman's grandson into him, and then had no hold on the result.

What this does not settle

One death in one work. It is the only place the record puts these two in the same room, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
