Ryomen Sukuna vs Satoru Gojo

1 places
The victimSatoru GojoJujutsu Kaisen · rank 2

These two sit next to each other and this fight is the reason one is above the other. What the record settles is not which of them is the greater quantity — the fiction spends a hundred chapters insisting that question is close, and the readers have not stopped arguing about it since. It settles which of them was ever in a position to be dealt with. One set his own price repeatedly and collected on it; the other was given everything free of charge and therefore had nothing to trade when the exchange went against him. The ordering was built on that difference before the fight happened, so the fight does not move it.

Negotiated one minute inside a borrowed body, called it a single time, and spent it taking Megumi Fushiguro. Kept those hands, and used them to cut Gojo Satoru down in front of the sorcerers who had staked the whole plan on the opposite result. The stretch of Shibuya he cut apart earlier was a longer stay in the same borrowed body, bought by other people forcing his fingers down its throat.

What this does not settle

One death in one work. It is the only place the record puts these two in the same room, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
