Saitama vs Gouketsu

The killerSaitamaOne Punch Man · rank 1
9 places
The victimGouketsuOne Punch Man · rank 10

Highest-placed of the three victims at 10, and the placement rests mostly on other people. Two blows landed to no effect; what earns the rank is the stadium — an ultimatum that turned five martial artists into Mysterious Beings — plus his own admission that he was far weaker than Orochi. The cells are also a manga addition with no webcomic counterpart, so the apparatus behind rank 10 exists in one version only. His head coming down where he made the offer is the record summarising itself.

Won the first Super Fight tournament as an ordinary human eleven years before the story opens, was beaten by Orochi some time after that, and swallowed a cell instead of dying. Gouketsu on the One Punch Man ladder

What this does not settle

One death in one work. It is the only place the record puts these two in the same room, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
