Rain does more work on this record than force does. The monster only returns to peak in a downpour, and the same blow that removed it removed the weather too: best condition and death cancelled by one motion. Note also what sits last on the file. The pyramid-of-all-life claim at ch. 28 is the monster's own assertion, never depicted, and nothing after it corroborates. Rank 11 therefore rests entirely on drawn evidence, while the highest thing said about this creature was said by the creature.

Saitama killed Deep Sea King in One Punch Man.

One punch, delivered after the thing had been through a shelter's worth of heroes, and the shockwave stopped the rain.

One afternoon, and in no order the register would recognise: Stinger and Lightning Max out of A-class, then the S-class Puri-Puri Prisoner, then Sonic, who is on no register at all, then the four heroes at the shelter door, then Genos out of S-class again, and last of all the C-class Mumen Rider, beaten down twice and still the last man there to stand up. The story stops to draw every one of them losing. That sequence, rather than the single punch that ended it, is the clearest measure on this ladder of what the middle of the Association is actually worth.

Deep Sea King on the One Punch Man ladder

What this does not settle

One death in one work. It is the only place the record puts these two in the same room, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
