Mahito vs Kento Nanami

The victimKento NanamiJujutsu Kaisen · rank 17

The clock is what to check. Nanami's row runs on hours he set for himself, output rising only once they are past, and he came into this one with a crowd of transfigured humans already behind him. Seven rows is a close gap, and a close gap decided against a depleted opponent is weak support for the order it produces. Note too where Mahito's own row ends: not standing, but taken apart by Yuji Itadori and then absorbed by Kenjaku before the fight closed.

Took Junpei Yoshino apart in front of Yuji and left him in a shape nobody undid. Killed Nanami Kento in a corridor of Shibuya Station with Yuji a few metres away and nothing left to do about it. Ten chapters on he put the domain up around Yuji and Aoi Todo — not the first time he had opened it — and the technique took hold of Todo without a hand ever landing on him.

Kento Nanami on the Jujutsu Kaisen ladder

What this does not settle

One death in one work. It is the only place the record puts these two in the same room, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
