BeatenYuji ItadoriJujutsu Kaisen · rank 5

It agrees with the placings, and it is weaker evidence than a clean result between two apex entries ought to be. The fight was staged around a sentence the winner had no intention of carrying out, and the wound he dealt was repaired by his own hand afterwards, which makes it a demonstration rather than a contest either side was trying to finish. What it shows is that the older student could end it when he chose. It says nothing about the Yuji who lands the closing blow at Shinjuku, and that is the Yuji being ranked.

Promised a girl he would marry her when they grew up, and when a car killed her the promise came back as a special grade tied to him for life. Handed Rika the whole of himself on the grounds of the school, and with his own sword already broken it was her beam that took Suguru Geto's arm. Took Kenjaku's head off later, then moved into Gojo Satoru's corpse using the transplant technique he had lifted off Kenjaku on the way past.

Yuji Itadori on the Jujutsu Kaisen ladder

What this does not settle

One fight in one work. It is the only result the record gives between these two, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
