Arataka Reigen vs Yusuke Sakurai

The winnerArataka ReigenMob Psycho 100 · off the scale
BeatenYusuke SakuraiMob Psycho 100 · rank 14

Off the scale twice over: Reigen is unranked, and the power that made Sakurai's weapons useless belonged to Mob for the evening. What actually ended the fight was the lecture, not the blows. Sakurai stopped because he was told he was ordinary and could not find an answer to it. A ranking has nowhere to put a win like that, which is why the page keeps Reigen off it.

The connecting record

Arataka Reigen beat Yusuke Sakurai in Mob Psycho 100.

He gives up after Reigen's lecture, his sword snapped and his slash stopped at Reigen's suit.

Self-proclaimed psychic, Spirits and Such Consultation Office

Mangacomicanimation

Has no psychic power, so he is the one person on this page the meter has nothing to say about — and that is how he beat Ryo Shimazaki, whose Mind's Eye reads espers' auras and never registered the man walking up to punch him. The one time a figure was printed beside his name it read 1000%, and it belonged to Mob: gratitude, sent across as power after Reigen told him it was all right to run. When ???% tore through the city he went into the storm on Dimple's borrowed strength and told Mob he had never had any of his own. Ranking him would mean giving him a number, which is the one thing his story is about not having.

Scar of the 7th Division — cursed toys

Mangacomicanimation

He is first seen after breaking into the Awakening Lab alone and beating its adults, and he carried off its five children. With Muraki he brought Teru down. Against Reigen he cut him across the back with his cursed toy sword and found it had gone only as deep as the suit, because Reigen was holding Mob's power by then; the sword snapped in Reigen's hands.

What this does not settle

One fight in one work. It is the only result the record gives between these two, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
