Shigeo Kageyama vs Dimple

2 places
BeatenDimpleMob Psycho 100 · rank 3

The first result on the page, and the first time the meter's top reading means anything. It agrees with the order, though not for the reason a power ranking would give. Dimple's place comes from a golden form fed by a tree, many volumes away; the spirit that lost here was his own size, and lost to a boy who had finally let himself get angry. What the result fixes is less an order of strength than a relationship — the loser comes back the next day and stays.

Mob

Mangacomicanimation

Choked unconscious by Teru, he broke Teru's barrier and lifted the wreck of Black Vinegar Middle School above the clouds; awake again at 100% Sadness, he put the building back. Inside Mogami's mindscape, with his mental body destroyed, he erased the spirit army and the world it lived in. Hit by a car on his way to confess to Tsubomi, he walked across Seasoning City as a storm while Teru, Sho and Toichiro Suzuki tried to stop him, absorbed the blast father and son fired together, and arrived to be turned down.

Ekubo — upper-class evil spirit, later "Psycho Helmet"

Mangacomicanimationcontested

As Psycho Helmet he fed Seasoning City sweets tainted by the Divine Tree until most of it, Ritsu and Tsubomi included, was his, beat Teru and bound him inside the tree, and drained Mob's power while trading god-titled attacks with him in a golden form. Earlier, inside Musashi Goda's body, he overpowered Shibata of the Ultimate 5. He lost the tree fight by being trusted rather than beaten. Contested because the strength was the tree's, and because Mogami, he says, once beat him at full power.

What this does not settle

One fight in one work. It is the only result the record gives between these two, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
