Beru vs Tarnak

The killerBeruSolo Leveling · rank 13
The victimTarnakSolo Leveling · rank 7

Six places upward, and the tier this soldier sits in is built to look past exactly this kind of result. The annexed are placed on what they were before they took orders, and Beru's case rests on Jeju, where Japan's strongest hunter died on the island, not on what he does once another hunter's shadow carries him into a fight. Here he arrives as a loan, beside Bellion, against a Monarch whose telepathic link was gone, and the kill is split three ways before the cup returns it. Even unreversed it would be evidence about the army rather than about the ant.

Took the heads off five Japanese hunters with one strike each on Jeju, swallowed a healer's head and came up carrying the man's language and his healing technique both, and then killed Goto Ryuji, who lasted exactly one hit longer than the men in front of him. Asked for a name once the extraction was done, before anybody had thought to give him one.

Tarnak on the Solo Leveling ladder

What this does not settle

One death in one work. It is the only place the record puts these two in the same room, and it is evidence about that meeting and nothing wider — not a general matchup, not a rematch, and not a ranking of its own.

The ladder above it is argued from everything either of them has been shown doing; this page is argued from one citation.

Where the two disagree, the disagreement is the point, and it stays visible rather than being resolved by whichever of them happens to be on this page.
